The Summer Day Camp begins on June 1 and lasts for 11 weeks until August 14. Camps are closed on July 4, which is designated as City of Columbia holiday. Sports, games, arts & crafts, swimming, skating, movies and special guests are just a sampling of the activities in the Summer Camp Program. Children will have an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities on a weekly basis. (Special activities may include an additional fee.) Children must bring their own lunch daily. Afternoon snacks will be provided. Appropriate dress is shorts and shirt or casual wear. Children should bring a towel on swim days. Recreational Swimming Only ! !
Cost
The cost is $45 per week. Total amount needed at time of registration $45, for first week of camp. An additional fee of $10 is charged for late pick-up after 6:00pm. (camp hours are 7:30am-6:00pm) Payments must be checks or money orders ONLY, no cash will be accepted at the camp site, all payments made to: CITY OF COLUMBIA.
Additional fees may be charged for an optional out-of-town field trip. The fee will cover transportation and or admission for camp children. The date and cost for this trip will be announced.
Registration / Payment
Registration begins March 2 and will be taken at the camp site you wish your child to attend. Space is limited. All payments are to be made at the center where your child attends or at the Main Office 1932 Calhoun Street from 8:30am-5pm. Each weekly fee is due prior to start of the new week. There are no refunds or discounts for missed days. Checks or money orders only– at the parks.
